Voice Interaction

Voice interaction is at the heart of immersive panel simulation. This guide helps you make the most of speaking with AI panelists.

How Voice Interaction Works

Speaking to the Panel

  1. Listen - A panelist asks you a question (you'll hear and see it)
  2. Think - Take a moment to organize your thoughts
  3. Speak - Begin your response when ready
  4. Finish - The system detects when you've completed your answer
  5. Listen - Panelists respond with follow-up questions

Voice Detection

StratBrain uses voice activity detection to know when you're speaking:

  • It detects when you start talking
  • It waits during natural pauses
  • It recognizes when you've finished your response
  • No need to press buttons - just speak naturally

Getting Good Results

Clear Speech

  • Speak at a natural, conversational pace
  • Enunciate clearly without over-articulating
  • Maintain consistent volume
  • Face your microphone

Managing Pauses

  • Short pauses for thought are natural
  • Longer pauses may signal you've finished
  • If cut off, you can continue - the system will adapt

Handling Mistakes

  • If you misspeak, just correct yourself and continue
  • The AI understands natural speech patterns
  • Focus on your ideas, not perfect delivery

Common Situations

"The Panel Didn't Hear Me"

  • Check your microphone is enabled in browser settings
  • Speak louder or move closer to the microphone
  • Ensure no other applications are using your microphone

"I Was Cut Off"

  • The system may have thought you finished
  • Simply continue speaking - it will capture more
  • Consider shorter pauses between thoughts

"The Response Doesn't Match What I Said"

  • Speech recognition isn't perfect
  • The AI responds to meaning, even with minor transcription errors
  • Review transcripts after to see what was captured

Text Mode Alternative

If voice interaction isn't working well:

  • Switch to standard (non-immersive) mode
  • Type your responses instead
  • You'll still get the full panel experience

Privacy and Data

  • Audio is processed in real-time
  • Sessions can be saved for your review
  • Your voice data is used only for the simulation
